Nicole Boni is the Financial Aid Officer for the Tohono O’odham Community College but is housed at the San Carlos Apache College. Her duties include awarding federal funds and scholarships, making sure students are meeting all eligibility requirements for Financial Aid and discussing with students on how to complete the FAFSA form. She is also the Veteran Benefits liaison for TOCC/SCAC, where she completes the enrollment certification for the veteran students who want to use their veteran benefits at the institution.
Nicole graduated from Gila Pueblo/Eastern Arizona College with her Associate of General Studies in 2014; she furthered her education and graduated from Northern Arizona University with her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Applied Indigenous Studies in 2019.
She is an enrolled member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe from the Gilson Wash District. She attended the St. Charles Apache Mission School, High Desert Middle School and graduated from Globe High School in 2011.
Nicole has previously worked as a Student Intern for the San Carlos Apache Tribal Probation Office, which sparked her interest in the Criminal Justice field, Cobre Valley Youth Club (formally Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley) as a Program Assistant and while she was earning her degree; she worked as a Server at the Navajo Nation Gaming- Twin Arrows Casino.
Nicole enjoys traveling with her family. Her late father would always take the family on vacation each year as he wanted his children to experience the world he never got to experience when he was younger. Her decision to attend Northern Arizona University was in honor of her father as he is also an alumnus of Northern Arizona University. She shares the same ideology as her father that “there is no age when it comes to learning”. She hopes to encourage her community that there is no age limit when it comes to returning to school.
