Special Projects, Thomas Worcester

Hello there, my name is Thomas Worcester, Jr. I’m from a small town in Oklahoma named Fort Cobb. After high school I attended a trade school named Caddo Kiowa Technology Center for Graphic Design which led me to attend college in Santa Fe at the Institute of American Indian Arts. I earned a B.A. in Cinematic Arts & Technology. From there I realized I enjoy working for colleges from my experiences as a former college student. After graduation I was hired as a A/V Tech for IAIA which led to an opportunity in Corpus Christy for Del Mar College. At Del Mar College I became a CareerCounselor. Working for Del Mar College allowed me to expand my skills, which is what led me to San Carlos Apache College. When I first came to SCAC I started as a library utor, then a receptionist position, and finally into a Special Projects Manager position for Academic Affairs. It’s been an interesting journey along the way. If I were to say anything it’s that don’t be afraid to jump into the unknown. You’ll be surprised by the opportunities that you can create. No one will tell you this, but there are rewards in fear. You got this. I believe in you.
