Casey Jones is a Professor of Biology with over a decade of experience in higher education and scientific research. Currently teaching at Pima Community College and San Carlos Apache College, Casey has led courses ranging from General Biology and Human Nutrition to Honors Biology and Special Projects in Biology. As a Faculty Leader Casey oversees curriculum design, faculty mentorship, and course evaluation for biology majors.
With doctoral work, a Master’s in Botany, and a B.S. in Ethnobotany from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Casey’s research and teaching emphasize plant conservation, climate change impacts, and innovative science education. Recognized with multiple honors—including the Charles H. Lamoureux Fellowship and the Young Botanist Award—Casey continues to bridge scientific inquiry with community-based learning and educational leadership.
